What’s the big idea?
An all-terrain electric skateboard that gives you the exhilarating feeling
of snowboarding and mountain-bike riding, no matter where you are.
Who are they?
James Murphy, 29, first dreamed of inventing the ultimate off-road
skateboard when he was a schoolboy.
By 2011, he was a qualified design engineer working in computer-aided
design, 3D modelling and robotics, and decided to try to give the idea
wheels in his spare time.
George Li, a business development engineer colleague, saw the potential in
the garage project. After bringing in electronics technician Alessandro
Noccioli, they launched a Kickstarter campaign in 2014 to raise money to
produce their first prototype BajaBoard in 2015…
