One of the best things about Evolve Skateboards is the 100+ wheel & gear combinations you can use to dial in your perfect speed, acceleration and braking. In this video, we put both low and high gearing to the test to see what the difference are in a real-world environment, and just how fast this board will go.
Results:
85mm / 32t = 41.8kph ~ 26mph
97mm / 38t = 42.8kph ~ 26.6mph
150mm / 47t = 52.9kph ~ 32.8mph
175mm / 66t = 43kph ~ 26.7mph
107mm / 38t = 47kph ~ 29.2mph
200mm / 47t (carpark) = 56kph ~ 34.8mph
200mm / 47t (road) = 60kph ~ 37.3mph
85mm / 38t = 38kph ~ 23.6mph
150mm / 66t = 38kph ~ 23.6mph
107mm / 32t = 54kph ~ 33.55mph
97mm / 32t = 51kph ~ 31.7mph
200mm / 66t = 49kph ~ 30.4mph
175mm / 47t = 55kph ~ 34.1mph
DISCLAIMER: The high gearing combinations in this video are good for speed, but dramatically reduce your ability to brake quickly, climb hills, & skate offroad while increasing heat and strain in the electronics system. We do not recommend using the 200mm/47 or 175mm/47T for general riding.
